Moosleute Makes

[Mohs-Loyt] A Germanic folk creature, considered one of the fae, that came from moss. They are depicted as being chased dyring the wild hunt- and the only way for them to find aafety was to find a stump with three x’s carved into it.

How it Started

I’ve always been a maker. First drawings, poems… then I began to see others wearing things I adored. I saw “DIY” videos and explored old sites like StumbleUpon, inspiration always hitting me. Chains for my pants, chsrms for my boots- and eventually, I made a pair of coffin nail earrings.

And to this day, they are my favoritr accessory.

I looked at them- and then I thought… Well, if I like them, and I didn’t see them anywhere else, maybe others would like them, too?

I went to a local store, Forty Three Skulls in Appleton Wisconsin, and I asked if they’d be interested. And they said yes.

Suddenly I was making these earrings while picking up little things- trinkets, if you will- and fashioning those into things, too.

Broken rosaries that were going to be thrown away, jewelry that had snapped or beads that had been discarded… I took it all in, and I began to do something fun.

So, here I am.

Moosleute Makes.

I hope I make your day!
